Just you (I hope)! Kidding ... but seriously, it just looks like a misspelling of the familiar masculine name Quincy.

Don't get me wrong ... if you like a male name for your daughter, I have no problem with it (short of jumping on the Madison, Avery, Riley, Caden bandwagon like everyone else LOL). However, it's really unattractive -- and completely without reason -- when parents claim to like such masculine names, but then feel the need to "girly them up" with a purposeful misspelling.

If you like Quincy, name her Quincy! But if you think you have to somehow feminize it, perhaps a classically feminine name would be more your style.

I like the name, but I don't care for different spellings.... Quincy is better.

I do like the name, especially for a girl. I've always liked last names for girls, way before it was the "trendy" thing to do.... that and boy's names for girls.

It seems like most people don't like it... that makes it a great name in my book!

BTW - names only get shortened if you let it happen.

no, the spelling is awful and its gonna be confusing for others.

In my son's class, I was gonna make green cupcakes for the boys, and pink ones for the girls. I ended up doing 4 white ones because I could not tell if they were boys or girl names.
And just think of her life down the line, role call for school. Telemarketers, when she signs up for phone srvice or cable or college. They're not only not going to know the sex, they'll chop it up and make it sound like Quinclicle or something.

I just love it!!!!

But I do like unusual names, as well.
I like names like:

Rellah
Arwen
Mylene

But who cares what everyone else says. As long as you are not naming them things like Rooster or something, I like the unusual names.
I do try to think what it would be like to speak to a grown up with that name and what it would look like on a resume.
I think Quinncie is great even when she is grown!!!

Hope this helps = )

Hmm. . .please give her a middle name that she can decide to go by when she gets older.

But seriously. You are continuing the trendy thing to do these days: give daughters last names, as their first names. I guess that's OK. But when she's younger, kids will call her Quincy the Queen or worse. And even "more worse"- your daughter will spend, I'm guessing, 3 years of her hopefully long life in explaining to people how to spell this name variation.

you are not alone. Quinncie (although I prefer the spelling Quincy) is one name I like for a girl but not for a boy.

I thought Quinncie or Quincy was a boy name..
How about Quin for a girl?? I think that's cuter.

old guys like me will call her " Dr. Quincy M.D".

kids shorten names. lucinda becomes, lu, lucy, cin, cindy.

Quinncie will become , quinn, quinnc, cee, Q.

and no one will ever spell it right.

give it to her as a middle name and you can use it if you like.

worst thing i saw a parent do , with the last name of "Cobb", was name the child "Cornelius".

corn cobb.
