Yup, had my son when I was 16, my daughter at 20. But now that I have 3 grand-daughters I am very happy. The only thing I regret is not going back to school. I'm happy with everything else. Still married, 27 yrs now.

I did. I had one of those totaly hands off mothers that wanted someone else to do things for her. From the time I was 13 until I was 16 I took care of my younger brother and cleaned the house. My mom also decided that I would take on the added responsibility of watching my two younger cousins after school. I did all this while she slept off what ever it was that she did all day that made her so tired. I ended up flunking out of my honors classes in high school because I couldn't keep up with the work and what I had to do at home. The one time I tried to be a normal teenager and join a club at school my mother came to pick me up telling me she needed me at home while she went off and did who knows what. And you know my brother looks up to me more than our mother.

some might say i did....i was splitting wood to heat our home when i was only 7 yrs oldworked full time payed my bills and still graduated high school at 17...i had alot of responsibility and a house full of people that depended on me...but it has helped me to allow others to remain young in the sense that i dont push them as hard i as i was...family friends, i live life in a more relaxed state because of it...my brother depended a great deal and still does on me....and being forced to age beyond my years has let me give to him the things that i didnt..such as stopping and smelling the roses, slow down and let things happen...ya know...so in all honesty...i dont feel i grew up too fast...growing up..at any rate...has made me who i am

Not by choice.
Sometimes life hands out situations that children should never have to deal with. The strong ones survive. They have to make decisions then they have to learn to live with the consequences
