What's the chance that Bill Clinton AND his wife both happen to be fit to be president of the United States? Any mathematicians know? Do you think it's pretty odd that the first possible female candidate to be president also happens to be the wife of a former president?

Well, you could apply that same logic to familial legacies. What are the chances that a father and son are both qualified to be president. We know that's a failure.

I think they were or are both fit as are all the other candidates. That being said, what has any candidate done to deserve to be president? They all tell you what they will do but I don't hear much about what they have done. Now X-Governor Ryan from Illinois got 13 innocent men out of prison when he was Governor. That to me would put him way ahead of the pack. Trouble is he isn't running. Last I heard he was heading for jail himself. Only in America.

Truly intelligent people don't choose mates that are stupid. It would bore them.
Shes not, by the way the first female candidate for president, just the first female presidential candidate of a major party.
As I recall Elizabeth Dole married Bob, both of them have held office.
What were those odds?
Both of them also ran for higher office.
I think its something we will see more often as women move more into the spotlight on their own and as they move up.

The 'odds' are irrelevant. Either they are, or they are not. If the odds are 1 trillion to 1, it is still possible that it will happen at some point. I personally never supported either of them. Being qualified for the job and being the right person for the job are NOT the same thing.

Any american born couple whom are both over 35 are fit to be president Bush shows us clearly there are no other factors like sanity decency or intelligence
