Being able to be of some help to others does provide some joy. I am a leach and the happier the people around me are, the happier I pretend to be.
I am not allowed to be truly happy....my depression forbade me from being happy. Besides, being happy makes me more depressed once the happiness subsides...

I think the only thing that makes me truly happy at this point in my life are my children, they keep me going.

People will never, ever be happy. They will always want more.
Does this make humanity emo? I hope not. Let's hope the rest of us never turn arm wounds into a fashion statement.
