This is such a ridiculous question. No sane person thinks Bush is the best ever. Even conservatives would likely choose Reagan or a few others over Bush.

Despite the amount of sarcasm dripping from your question... I wouldn't say he is the best... maybe not even top ten. I will say that under the circumstances that he was dealt during his Presidency he has done a fairly decent job. As far as protecting us from evil... Do you recall any attacks on our soil since 9/11? I sure don't. Sleep safely tonight knowing you have a President with the courage and fortitude to provide that for you.

Unfortunately we will have to wait for the fact that he is a great president to be recorded in history books. For now we will just have to listen to democrats say he is a liar and that he's dumb. He will be noted however as being smart enough to have WON the presidential election 1 more time than ******* like Jimmy Carter for example.
