***** is the Spanish word for black. If it had the other N word, then yes, but since most items have bilingual instructions, you probably found "*****" on the Spanish side, didn't you?

You can sue anybody for anything, but if you lose, you end up paying court costs and attorney fees. In this case, you would probably lose because "*****" is considered a race of people. Not many years ago, before they were referred to as "blacks", they were called Negroes. This is not the same as the other "N" word, that is totally debasing. If I used the word "*****" to describe someone's race, I would not consider it to be a "slur", and I think most black people would agree.

the term ***** was what blacks were called before someone came up with the politically correct euphemism African American. That term is NOT RACIST and NOT A SLUR in any way. If that is the double talk we have to put up with, and I am first generation American, why am I not referred to as a European American ? Someone must be afraid of my heritage. Also, has anyone ever noticed that Black History month is February, the shortest month of the year? Poor choice, I think. I am FAR FAR from racist and have many black friends and co-workers. I even dated a very nice black girl for a while and learned much from the experience. I am still friends with her.

The word "*****" is not a racial slur any more than the word "caucasian" or "asian." If it was, the United ***** College Fund would be in big trouble, wouldn't it?

I found one, too. It said "Crackers" on it. But I forgot whether or not I can sue Nabisco or Sunshine, cuz I tossed the box away when I was done eating them.

Really, a society where everybody can make money off of being offended is a society that's just begging for more offense. Racial, religious, and sexual offense has been turned into a huge commercial business, when, in truth, the offenders are just immature and should be ignored, laughed at, and occasionally spit upon. (of course, that last one could lead to another law-suit, eh...)

Neither "*****," *******," "negra," nor "colored" were ever used as racial slurs in the U.S. Those words were considered "polite." The Big "N" has always been the slur.

By the way, "*****" and "niger" are both non-English words for the color black.

Doubtful, assuming the company didn't simply mean "black" which in Spanish is *****, they still have the right to publish whatever they want on their labels.

If they are truly being racist and not just using ***** in place of black, boycott the item, write letters to the store and to the producers of the product.

While you are at it, Uncle Ben, and Aunt Jamima are also racially charged.
