(Sell yourself) Lets just say, I was an average American citizen, who was unsure about my Political preference, what would you tell me that would cause me to vote "D"?

i'm not a democrat at least i don't think like the modern era ones do,i would like to think that eventually the old democrat party of franklin d. roosevelt,creat a works program to rebuild/main our schools,roads,bridges and the complete rebuilding of the city of new orleans on quarried rock railed in to make it 75 ft above sea level,borrowing money of 10 per cent from the other 15 or so cabinet federal departments,all of these employed people would pay taxes into the general fund

I'm hoping it will be:
"Freedom of speech, even for Republican talk radio!"
"Freedom of expression, even for Christians!"
"Equality, even for white people!"
Not likely, but as a democrat, (not a liberal, NOT a socialist) I try.
I get tired of the political bigotry, but I was just as tired of it when President Clinton was in office. Being a man of ethics, I don't remain silent about it now against President Bush anymore than I stayed silent about it then.
I would hope that the Democratic party would run on the idea of representing Americans, of supporting free speech and rights, INCLUDING those of republicans.
Keep speaking up, dear. Seeing my behavior does not excuse rude and seditious behavior in others. I hope you'll speak up about it in republicans as well.
I could use some people fighting along side me.
