Because they have an attorney who is advising them. He is advising them not to take a lie detector test. It's a similar situation as the Jon Benet Ramsey case, an attorney's advice again. I say, "What do they have to hide"?

wether it is admissable in law is irrelevant, the general public would welcome them taking the test, and if it was negative(i.e.they passed) then the public would raly round a bit more i am sure.surely if they have nothing to hide they have nothing to fear and all the legal eagles in the world have to agree with that,we are not talking about some 3rd world country with a tinpot dictator here,it is the uk and portugal and even we have the brains to see whats right and whats wrong 99.9% of the time.

Because polygraph tests don't 'prove' anything, they just show a subject's bodily reactions to questions. There's a very good reason most courts don't admit polygraph tests as evidence.

If they took it and passed some would say it is not reliable they are lieing still..if they took it and failed some people would say the are not reliable and they are telling the truth. Plus it is not admissable in court.
