No problem, in most cases a locksmith can originate new keys for you. Remember your I.D. and proof of ownership.

yes i have lost my car keys in the past . to prepare for future incidents use a zip tie to secure a copy of your door key in a very discreet location underneath the car ( mine is up behind the gas tank ) also keep a copy of the ignition key in a top secret location on the inside of the car ( not in the glove box)

Couch cushions, on the kitchen table underneath other junk, in your work pants, on the nightstand where you changed, on the back of the toilet, on your computer desk (again underneath other sh*t), in the ignition or one of the door or trunk locks.
