I am only guessing.
Are there laws in Canada that would require different equipment on the cars than in the US?
Is there a tax that must be paid to take cars into Canada or an inspection fee?
Maybe the prices have simply not adjusted from when the Canadian dollar was valued below the US dollar?
I could be totally wrong, but this is what came to mind.
