I got all my drivers back up (to my knowledge) and even tried installing the drivers to what i believe my sound device to be. It's an integrated Realtek sound card for a SiS 755-A2 motherboard. I've tried everything. It does not even show up in the device manager. Just codecs.

Try reinstalling the driver BUT this time with all startups disabled. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, ok. Select Startup tab, disable all, apply. You may have to restart PC. Install driver. After a successful installation, enable your startups in msconfig.

There may be an issue that SiS is aware of. I would go to their website, and search for updated drivers/fixes for known issues.

Go to the sound card's manufacturer's [you mentioned Realtek] website. They should have updated drivers for your hardware. Either that or your sound card is no longer supported.
