Political Correctness is one of the many weapons being used by the left to destroy this country. As with many of their tactics it is cleverly hidden in seemingly innocent enough issues. It starts with something a majority of the population can agree with and get behind and then it begins to "blossom" into their true ideals. It slowly takes away your rights and freedoms one by one as they use their favorite word... "Tolerant". As we become more desensitized to the issue and we become more "tolerant" we sometimes fail to notice the hold it begins to take. Yes... it needs to be stopped. We need to be able to call a spade a spade.

Well the last I checked there were no laws on the books that said you had to be politically correct. So basically say what you want( keeping obvious vulgarity to a minimum). But remember by saying what is on your mind might piss someone off so be prepared to hold your ground and take the backlash. I agree being PC makes one orally constipated.

I think they replaced it with political correctness so that they can make all sorts of sweeping changes to our country that will take away all of our freedoms and if we disagree with it then they can call us racists xenophobes homophobes jingoists yada yada yada.
It's demolition through demagoguery.
It's just a little device the left invented that allows them to totally demonize the right and spew their total vitriol and hatred at the right while exhonerating themselves as perfect little angels.
While it is true that you can choose whether to adopt this new language or reject it, you do not get to choose whther you get ganged up on by a bunch of fascist politically correct liberals anywhere you may be or in any situation you might find youself outnumbered by them.Anytime they outnumber you prepare to be brow beaten by their little fascist group telling you how you as an individual are INCORRECT and how their group is perfect.
They have a word for that. It's called fascism.

Unfortunately, speech has never been free. In the constitution, there is a clause that specifies that the document was created for congress, and that all rights are not absolute.
For example, if you were to plead freedom of religion in some of the (rare) religions that call for human or animal sacrifice, would that be considerable as murder? It should be.
The rights CANT be absolute, or we would have complete political chaos...moreso than we already do. :)

If you have an example of someone in this country being imprisoned for exercising their freedom of speech, I'd be happy to check it out. Anyone in this country is free to say anything they like, even if it is unpopular. The only exception that I am aware of is making threats against someone.

Hard to keep up. One day the word is fine and the next people look at you with their mouth wide open because it is wrong. Please! How are we supposed to keep up with this nonsense?
