Annelise. I'm unfamiliar with any traditional origins of Emmalise -- though I realize it's simply a combination of Emma and Lise/Elisabeth -- but it just seems like something one might use to try and make Emma somehow more unique, know what I mean?
In other words, despite what some others seem to think, Emmalise would seem MUCH more common a choice than Annelise! The undeniably-similar Emily and Emma have been the MOST popular choices for girls for years, whereas Annelise isn't even IN the top 1000!!! Anneliese was in 2005, but even then it was only at 917 (and wasn't in the top 1000 any other year since 1880). Emmalise is obviously the more common-sounding option.
I do, however, like the long-established, separate name Emeline (or Emmeline ... different origins). And the sound -- em-e-leen -- is very similar to your Emmalise. ;)

Im sorry I dont like either, but if I had to choose I'd pick Annelise because Emmalise sounds a little bit weird

annelise its better then emmalise, plus if you call ur child emmalise there more chance theylle call her emma then what ppl would call aneelise anne. what about annalisa pronounces anna-lisa not anna-liza. or annalyssa..by the way i write caligraphy and annelise is much better looking when its written then emmalise.

I like both names.
I think that you should pick the name that you love: Emmalise. I am assuming you want it pronounced: Emma- leez
I think that it is gorgeous. It is like Emma and Emily but not, and I think that that is what you are going for... and similar Em name, but not the ones in the top 5.
Emmalise... so pretty.
Other EM names you could use:
Emeline
Emerald
Emma
Emmalyn
But I think you have come up with a very pretty one that no one will have heard before! Go with what you love.
