Three B&W movies come straight to mind. A Night To Remember, Angels With Dirty Faces and White Heat.
All great stories with some touching tangents.

The original The 39 Steps. Wonderful acting from Robert Donat. Released in 1935 . When my ol mum, bless her and I used to watch it on her outdated video, we would cuddle on the settee to keep warm and watch it usually with a bag of mint imperials or coconut mushrooms, or, if she was feeling flush, liquorice allsorts!

Gotta be the "The Sound Of Music" - 1965 for me, bit of clean old fashioned fun. The actors/actresses looked like they were actually enjoying what they were doing. Not just a load of special effects and CGI. Dont get me wrong though i love all that stuff too. ToyStory rocks!!
