Here's a short list of the benefits to our economy:
~Thousands of dollars in wedding revenue alone
~Opportunities for new jobs in industries such as those related to weddings
~A state with a high competitive success rate, since Massachusetts is its only competitor.
~Jobs, companies, and employees who are Gay or Lesbian moving to Michigan to get married. Especially those with very high careers and degrees, which brings more companies here looking to hire those people, which creates more jobs in total, and then those people won't move to other states in fear their marriage would be annulled, so if asked to relocate they would instead move other parts of their companies here. Which does nothing but add more positives to our economy.
~This all in turn raises the housing market, more homes being sold, and more homes being asked to be built.
~All these people have demands, which help buisness, which creates jobs.
You may be skeptical the impact would be this huge, but if we are one of....

...two states, it would indeed be.
To add to this, the growing unemployment rates in the West would benefit immensely from legalizing gay marriage as well.
