Personally I don't think there shouldn't be anything bad about meeting someone online, the bar is OK, but the nightclub is more questionable (a bunch of people dancing around and flirting, some in scantily clad clothing, to loud music).

I met my husband online. We've been happily married for 7 years. Everybody knows it. There's nothing wrong with it.

I don't see why two people can't meet at a bar or a nightclub if they end up having a good relationship.

It's kind of silly. If someone is going to be embarassed then don't go there.

no , i met my wife online---------------------------------most people look at me in disbelief, but i remember my girlfriend from 30 yrs ago, before there was an internet. Her parents met through a personal ad in the newspaper. Her mom was from N.H. and her stepdad from La. We thought that was strange but we have just moved from the papers to the internet. Much more common than what you think. If i hadn't had the internet I would have just settled for what i could get at my age. Because of the internet I was able to pick and chose until we had found the perfect match.

I would not want to say I met him online. The bar/nightclub scene is actually more respected in my circles. At least you know this person in real life...

I met my love online, and I'm not embarrassed about it, but I don't like to tell people that because they get these preconceived notions about online relationships not lasting. They'll say a bunch of negative things and put a jinx on your relationship.

Meet away, whereever, doesn't matter. Er, I might be embarassed to say if I'd met someone at a human sacrifice, but I'm guessing that hardly ever happens.....um?

I tell everyone my hubby and I met in a Nudist Camp (never been to one). It's more interesting then saying we meet at work.
