I would argue that Bush's 2 close wins had a large correlation with his relatively high numbers among hispanics. It appears that the republicans are going to reverse that trend, and that will cost them elections. In today's environment, 1% of the electorate is crucial, and republicans have to keep the democrats from sweeping minorities. It used to be that you could win with just winning white males, but that's not the case anymore. I predict 2 more cycles of democratic victories before republicans wise up.

Unlike many Democrats, most Republicans don't assume there is such a thing as the 'minority vote'. We assume voters are intelligent enough to chose a candidate based on their stand on the issues. The voter's ethnic background does not REQUIRE them to vote the same as every other 'minority'.

Why show up to get creamed by anyone. For the same reason the Democrats don't always want to have anything to do with FoxNews. Whatever, and get your facts straight when you even read an article on anything.

Many blacks are barred from voting with all of those felon laws and because they are too lazy too vote. Any Republican will tell you that.

And Republicans will tell you that blacks don't watch PBS.
