Hot, but hot is relative. Personally I think April/May and September/October are the best times for outdoor activity in Orlando. Here's a summary of the May 4, 2007 weather report:

Temperature:
Mean Temperature 82 °F / 27 °C
Max Temperature 93 °F / 33 °C
Min Temperature 70 °F / 21 °C

Moisture:
Dew Point 65 °F / 18 °C
Average Humidity 62
Maximum Humidity 84
Minimum Humidity 32

The weather in May is normally very good. It is before the hot and sticky season, but past the Jan/Feb time where it can be a little chilly.
I would say that any time in Florida is good, no matter what time of year.

May is a transition from dry spring to wet summer. So early May will have warm days and pleasant nights, with little rain. Late May will be warmer, more humid and more afternoon thunder showers, but not quite everyday as happens as the summer progresses.
