You have freezing, which makes it a solid.
And evaporation, which makes it a gas.
Both of these are from the liquid state of water.
Precipitation is when it falls, like rain.
Condensation is when it collects on a surface, like dew or when you boil it in a pan with a lid it condenses on the lid.

That's kind of an incomplete question, but I think you are refering to "sublimation". That's when water goes from solid state to gaseous state...skipping the liquid form.
If not, you are talking about evaporation. Water converts from liquid to gas.
