geegee - 'I think that you will find that no great number of persons in this country wants any part of Marxism, especially not a liberal; this would defeat the very idea of liberalism!'
- I would like to think you were correct (we would think the same of their affection with radical Islam) but, history proves otherwise.

Option B already exists in our system but it's voluntary.
Option C would of course support B if such truths were taught in schools*.
Option A resembles the very problem your question hopes to answer. It would be federally mandated and not voluntary just like the results of lobbyists and special interest groups (of both PublicRat camps) changing federal laws that affect people everywhere despite their individual or state sovereignty.
As someone above pointed out, in the case of the certain liberals an example might be a city like San Francisco;
An opposite example of this might be 'The Free State Project' where liberty minded folks chosing to live in New Hampshire to enjoy their brand of social/political life.
This is the beauty of citizen sovereignty and states rights as opposed to small groups or lobbyists attempting to shape all states via the federal law and federal government, most attempts at this and the federal politicians caving into the pressure or benefiting financially from pork, junkets, and are not constitutional.
Federal government is WAY out of control and needs to be reigned in. Once this is accomplished there will be no more incentive for the lobbies or spec. interest to seek support there.

I suppose it would be good for c although its tough to explain something that you see as truth and tell someone else that its truth. People tend to be generally narrow minded on most things with politics. This is one reason why sometimes we can't have a good conversation with others on politics.
I think it would be good that we use the old principle of Federalism. Let the states be a laboratory. If you think Marxism can work or your idea of "helping" others than go to a state and see how it works. Its a shame that we put all our eggs in one basket in the US. Soon enough the bottom will fall out.

The problem here is that you don't seem to understand that no one is all liberal or all conservative!
Marxism has never been accepted in the west; therefore we are free to study it if we wish. Evidently you have read some of Marx's work however, you give no credit to Friedrich Engels who introduced Marx to Communism & indeed had a great deal of influence on his works. I think that you will find that no great number of persons in this country wants any part of Marxism, especially not a liberal; this would defeat the very idea of liberalism!

C would be awesome if they could comprehend it. Most libs (on Y!A) don't WANT to . They're so deep in denial they can't see what is right in front of their faces.
So I say, we give them the West (proportionately to Americans declared party) and conservatives can have the rest. Imagine! The entire West Coast exposed with NO MILITARY, flowers on every street corner, free health care for everyone and no free market. Que up "The Age of Aquarius" on the loud speaker............light up a joint and listen to Comrade Hillary address the "New Amerika".
No need to worry--the conservatives on THIS side WILL get that wall built!! Woohoo!

What history book have you been reading from?
Marxism doesn't EXIST in the United States.
Secondly, what's wrong with embracing "progress"? Are you afraid of what the future will hold for your backwards conservative movement?
Why do you consistently want the nation to embrace the 19th century again? Is the 21st century getting too hard for you to cope with?
And lastly, you don't even KNOW what socialism really is. Liberals aren't trying to push it on a country like Hugo Chavez is with Venezuela.
All we are trying to do is make the playing field more level for EVERYONE, not just for a select few, or a minority group like yourselves.

I see a day where 1000's of ships are filled with Liberals with one way tickets to France....and under each arm they are carrying an illegal alien....the Fleet Commander is Teddy Kennedy...after he has downed several fifths of Chivas..

"I don't recall."
I do recall that The United States Of America was founded by liberal progressive thinkers.
The "Conservatives" wanted to keep the status-quo as British Loyalists.
They wanted to "Stay the course."

As a compassionate conservative I would have to say C .
We could send them to internment camps for re-education but we'd have to be 'pc' and call the camps something other than 'internment' camps . Perhaps 'Social Sharing Camps' .. . . but this time it's US doing the educating , this time it's for real .
Ya know , I was thinkin , they do swoon over anything Hollywood so maybe we should advertise this just like motion pictures . .. .. . . . . (voice over) >> " On a dark September night , cool winds blowin.. . . .. the compassionate conservatives STRUCK ! Tired of constantly re-explaining history the conservatives swooped-down and captured the far leftists. . . This they said , was the final straw ! This time payback is ours ! And this time it's for REAL "!!
Note to crybaby leftists -- This was a joke so please keep your panties on . (wink) .

I'd rather you became a little more reasonable in your outlook. Failing that, I suggest that at some point or other, you'll know how terribly wrong you are right now.
I imagine it will be during the food riots that follow the inevitable gas shortages, or the martial law moment when the blackwater support guys just start indiscriminately killing, because they could care less about right or left.
For them, the next american revolution will be a paycheck.
