where can I find a comprehensive list of all works by major classical composers?

I wish to find a place with work list of composers like Mozart, Beethoven, Bach...

MUST BE SORTED BY INSTRUMENT (I only want a list of all piano works)

Well, this might require a little foot work on your part, and some judgments. What constitutes a "major" classical composer? And a list of all works sorted by instrument? Are you aware of the volume of work you are talking about? Over 1000 works from Bach, over 600 from Mozart, over 250 from Beethoven.....

I am not aware of a comprehensive list af all composers, but you may find such lists *by composer*. Here is a good place to start:
