The most capitalistic country on earth. Whether this will be aligned with crime fighting or some other moralistic dupe, it will essentially be a commodity at some stage just as your address and credit file are, and your Tesco Clubcard shopping profile.
Some nerd will have us buy into some DNA based diet or hair cream. Ironically the more they classify us , the more they discriminate us and oppress us.
Soon you wont even be able to take a **** in the woods!!

simple. because we are the most paranoid state on the planet. And the future laws, those not born to fruition yet, but buried in the maze of laws now present will culminate in a state where Orwell's Big Brother will like look a tame and naive nursery story.

Most people in the "democratic world" are slowing being fed so much propaganda that when they should take their blinkers off. They will notice the word Freedom is a myth.

This is nothing to do with Crime. But profile and catalogue.
everything we say and do we are catagorised, labelled and numbered.

Because, we, the UK electorate have allowed the governement (who as a whole, we have elected in) to do this.

It does have advantages though.

"Of the 200,000 samples from people neither charged nor convicted, which would have in the past been removed, the spokeswoman said 8,500 had been subsequently matched to crime scenes, involving some 14,000 offences including 114 murders, 55 attempted murders and 116 rapes."

Those crimes would have been unlikely to have been solved without the DNA database.

Because we are the leaders in Law Enforcement in the world. I have yet to hear a cogent argument why people should not be fingerprinted, carry an ID card and be DNA tested at birth. The idea that you can identify yourself with a Birth Certificate is 19th century and we need to move the Law forward about 200 years. It no longer works.

i think even the judiciary are going to grow to be much less self sustaining, as this government enacts extra regulations decreasing our independents on the grounds of terrorism. the subject of course is the apathy of the British, exceedingly the English in thinking they are in a position to't exchange issues. in the event that they won't vote then clearly, the government is going to benefit extra administration over us. we are already the main spied upon u . s . a . in Europe, if we enable them to maintain on then finally we are able to grow to be a Police State.

To control and monitor us. Nothing whatsoever to do with catching criminals. We have already reached Orwell's vision, and unless something happens(which I can't imagine) the population will eventually be implanted with a microchip to keep tabs on us. Dipsticks like the poster above me are the reason it will happen. They say "nothing to hide , nothing to fear". Now mustard charlie will you tell us how much you have in the bank and your account numbers, after all you have nothing to hide .Do you ?
