What cultural values of the ancient Greeks can you come to understand through studying their mythology?

I think that to truely answer this question you would have to learn to read ancient greek and read their myths in light of their own time and toungue. You see we have yet to come to grips with the fact that to the Greek's of that time, the highest form of love was that between two men. The implications of this alone changes the way you llok at things.

Their moral stand on monogamy was absent.

The willingness to be able to believe the mystical was great

Slavery was common and accepted

Women had a place - look up the stories to evaluate that.
