"What is it" is a phrase from a song called "Epic" from a band called "Faith No More". The band was around for many years, but is widely regarded as a one-hit-wonder.
The song "Epic" was the one whose video featured a fish flopping on a glassy surface out of water at the end, which made animal rights activists go bananas.
The song is actually somewhat catchy in my opinion.
In short....that's what "what is it" is.

First ask Bill Clinton what 'is' is, then work towards:-" it," being a pronoun [meaning before--and nothing] pro and noun .. so before nothing how can [ is ] be? So its invisible, silent, tasteless, until it exists as an 'is' An object of speculation maybe.

what is it what ...parapsychology?Term coined in German by Max Dessoir (1889) and adopted by J. B. Rhine in English to refer to the scientific study of paranormal or ostensibly paranormal phenomena, that is, psi; except in Britain, the term has largely superseded the older expression “psychical research;” used by some to refer to the experimental approach to the field.

I've often thought about it, but it just doesn't seem clear to me. It may be that it isn't meant for me to understand it..it may always be a mystery (or is it?).

From what I've heard, whatever "it" is, you can get "it" on Ebay; excuse me, Fleabay. Sorry, being a smart a*s, but I just couldn't resist.
