Sounds like it could be a bladder infection. You can try cranberry juice, that usually helps me.

Marie,
"It burns when I pee" is a common indicator for urinary tract infection ... common among every woman, whether she is sexually active or not.

Drink, drink, drink! Doesn't much matter WHAT you drink (not alcohol): soda, milk, fruit juice, tea, or water (water is best) but remember that caffeine is a bladder stimulant. *Flush* your kidneys/bladder & see if you can move more pee than usual out! Some people say that cranberry juice works best, but really, any kind of juice will flush the kidneys/bladder.

If "simple" bladder/urethra infections go on untreated, they can spread to the kidneys with serious consequences... like the need for intravenous antibiotics.

As far as "can't swallow pills" ... if you go to your health care provider's office & pee in the cup & they see loads of bacteria, you may be put on an antibiotic ... ask for the liquid or syrup form (like for little kids) ... it shouldn't cost any more than pills.

How to avoid UTI's in the first place:
Drink plenty of liquids, especially water.
Urinate promptly when the urge arises.
Wipe from front to back.
Empty your bladder as soon as possible after intercourse. Avoid potentially irritating feminine products.

Yes, there are other diseases/conditions that could cause the pain you describe, but the UTI is the most common.
Good luck to you.

It sounds like a bladder infection to me because the symptoms sound similar to the ones I had a few months back, and was diagnosed with a bladder infection. There was blood in my urine also. Have you notice in blood?

You won't know for sure what it is until you see a doctor. It sounds like your situation is pretty serious and in need of medical attention. If it's a bladder infection, an antibiotic will clear it up. Tell the doctor that you can't take pills. I'm sure there is something they could do for you. There's also medicine they can give you to dull the pain when you pee.

Well if your pee is very yellow, it means you are not drinking enought fluids. So drink more fluids.
And by what you discribed, it sounds like a bladder infection, i say this because my sister had one. And she experianced those exact same symptoms.

IF it is a bladder infection you should deffiantly go to the doctors and diagnose you and if you cant swallow pills they can give you a shot. But trust me its worth it.
When my sister had to take a shot for hers, her symptoms went away the next day.

So, Hope I Helped!
Good Luck.

You will need to go to the Dr. Cranberry juice may help, but the only way to get rid of the infection is antibiotics. The Dr will not do anything invasive. Just to urine for them. Tell the Dr that you can not swallow pills and he will order liquid medicine.

Sound like it might be gonorrhea, don't worry about the pills. They can give you two big shots of penicillin in the rear end.
