Sometime ago my PC encountered a problem & I had to erase my Windows XP...
My configuration are as follows:
RAM: 1 GB
AGP: 128 MB
Motherboard: Intel D865 PERL
Hard disk: 80 GB
& internally:
Number of drives :7
C: Win 98
D: Win XP
E: Music
F: Software
G: Game 1
H: Game 2
So, in order to fix it I reformatted D: drive & installed Win XP..
Everything was working ok & then I thought I had to repartition the drives for a special reason so I thought of erase G: & H:
to make 1 big drive but something terrible happened.
I tried to repartition them using a Win Vista installer & when I went to delete my G: It also wiped out my C:, D:, E:, H: (leaving just my software drive (F:) normal...
After that I tried re-installing Win XP by recreating partitions & setting them all up but when setup takes place & installs content on a drive to run actual setup, it doesn't work after that.
The PC reboots & an error comes up saying MISSING NDIF FILE or something...

Also after that, a message comes up saying reboot PC & enter proper boot device & reboot or something...
No matter what windows I try to install & in what drive, the setup doesn't go though to the next stage...
After the error, the PC gets restarted or reloads from DVD rom...
I tried changing the boot priority to Hard disk first but it doesn't work at all...
Furthermore, I also tried Win Vista on several drives & found the same problem but in this case, the first part of setup puts files into the drive for installing & then after rebooting the same message appears on top of a wierd symbol like {//E}..
After that it says to reboot PC & set a proper booting device or something similar...
How do I install windows again???
& is the data completely lost from the partition or is there anyway to recover it?
Thanks...

OK let me try to help. First your problem is that the hard disc is not formatted and still has some old and corrupted files on it. You will need to get a boot disc if you still have a 3.5 floppy drive and Format the hard drives. note this will erase all files and information on these drives. If you only have a CD drive you should get a drive installation disc preferably from your main hard drive manufacturer. Use it as a boot disc and again begin by reformatting or erasing the hard drive. Then reinstall the operating system from your xp disc and all required drivers. Hope this helps. PS use suggestion above first if it does not work then this may be one of your only options.

Your FAT tables are really messed up. That's an awful lot of partitions to try and fix. You could download gparted and see if you can fix them. I'd start over again, maybe with less partitions this time.

Get hold of a Linux bootcd (Ubuntu) and see if you can still see all the partitions. If you can, put in another hard drive and copy all your data there.

Repair your XP by following this:

Then boot and open XP. Right click My Computer, select Manage. Click Disk Management. Right click on the other partitions then select the action you want.
