I want to print pictures, scan, copying is not so much an issue, but not unwanted exactly, a place for a memory card would be great. My camera likes to die(: I print a lot, so the speed of printing sort of matters. Portability not such an issue. I'm not really looking to spend more than let's say $250 (at the absolute most, cheaper would be gReAt) Thank you for ur help!!

The main concern would be whether the printer has decent Mac drivers so that it'll actually work when you plug it in although it should list Mac OS X on the box if it does (unless of course you use only windows on an Intel Mac).
Though you probably also want to check out how much the printer costs to run, especially cheap printers often have high per page costs (because the manufacturers sell the printers at a loss and make their money on ink). If you do a lot of printing you might be better off paying for a more expensive printer that is cheaper to run (though you can get expensive printers that cost a lot to run as well). Stay as far away as possible from anything that is advertised as a three colour printer because those will cost you a lot despite them having the lowest purchase price, a four colour process is the minimum although more will help for photo printing.

i just bought a new macbook. i purchased an HP Photosmart printer for it. There are several different photosmart editions from HP. But it works wonderfully! It prints, scans, copies, and also functions as a fax machine. I have been an HP customer for years now, and I have never been dissatisfied with their products. Try looking into the HP Photosmart printers. They are reasonably priced, and work GREAT! Good Luck!

get the NEw sleek SAmsung printer. omg the design is the best among the all printers available. well you can't print in color because it will be thicker. but you can print 16 pages in just 1 second!!! they sell it on apple store.
