Actually, the movies and TV shows are real. The stuff outside your house, on the street and in school, that's all fake. Don't believe anything unless you see it on TV or read about it in the National Inquirer.

No, television is not real life.

Those holes in Mars are thought to be the natural entrances to underground cave systems.
They could also be "sinkholes", which also happen on Earth when underground ice or water wear away the soil and rock above, then the ice or water evaporates or leaks away. Then there is nothing left to support the rock above and it can cave in.

No, television is not like life. So dont worry, we are not going to have any silver surfer destroy our planet. There are no 'holes' in the surface of Mars - the 'holes' are just geographical features.

Don't worry. Television is not like real life.

Real life is stranger. The holes in Mars are so deep that even when viewed straight on with sunlight, the bottoms cannot be seen. That's strange and cool, IMHO.

It's okay, don't worry, Rise of the Silver Surfer is just a movie!
Do you believe the Wizard of Oz is real?
Or Peter Pan?
Superman?
Just keep calm and repeat "It's only a movie, it's only a movie..."

Television is a lot like real life, with some excitement tossed in for good measure, maybe a little love scene here and there for added pleasure...anything to sell movie tickets, or the sponsor's products.
