Yes, like the others have said, Saddam refused exile. Everyone with a halfway decent memory should know that.

He didnt want to go into exile. Saddam got cocky. He was still in power after the first Desert War, he figured he would still be there after the second. Right now, Saddam is in an even hotter place.

It's a long time ago...but I recall it was Saddam who didn't accept the offer of exile.
