no snails don't only eat lettuce. I fed my pet snail fish food, but they also like to eat chalk. The chalk helps the development of the shell, or as i like to call it " its home".

They eat all foliage
Snails have rough tongues and tiny little teeth prongs on it. they lick the leaves of plants, and as they lick, the prongs gather up the top of the nutrients from the top of the leaf.
That is why plants die if snails get at them. They loose the protective layer. Snails can destroy whole crops.

Hi,
Snails dont just eat lettuce. They eat every thing I grow in
my garden thats green .

no they eat alot
fish food, algae, as a kid my friend had a snail tank for some reason, he shoukld have added fish, but anyway, he never ever fed them, i dont know why but he said so, and they did ok, didnt die, i went over ther for years

They feed on green leaves.Not just lettuce.

I'm pretty sure they might eat something else. Maybe things that easily decompose, such as fruit or other vegetables.

They love flower garden plants like begonias and petunias. They would eat them like crazy in my garden.

We feed ours the alge tablets that sink to the bottom of the tank. They seem to love them.

no,they get into my lovely flower garden and some vege plants..grrrrr.but idont use anything against them,as i have pets and lil kids,so i have to not worry too much.

they eat SALT!!!!
ha ha ha!!
try it!! they will love it!! you see, when i see a snail i give salt and they love it so much that they curl up!!! (and never more again because they are in shock of how good salt is)
sh.... but its just our little secret!
