You are a bit off. It is more like:
Lazy bums wanting handouts = Democrat
Bible-thumping greedheads = Republican

Do these same educated people say things like "everstate", use poor capitalization, false generalizations, and obvious logical fallacies?
I'm just going out on a limb and guessing that every state that votes overwhelmingly Republican still has colleges, museums, theater, and culture. I'm also guessing that every state that votes Democratic has tractors, corn, and cow patties.
What kind of question is, "Why do most republicans live in the country and drive pickup trucks.? [sic]" anyway?
Why do most Democrats live in the city and take public transportation?
Do they? Can either of those premises even be backed up?

Very astute observation you make - so you must be educated, eh? This is exactly the attitude that the Democrats need to foster - insult anyone that they feel is "Beneath" their lofty standards...you know the high moral character of say San Francisco perhaps...or the ever so intelligent government funded "Abortion on demand without parental notification for minors" crowd. Let them vote for the Democrats while the hayseeds that work for a living feeding the world will continue to vote for people of values, not slogans. You know, like President Bush - he received more votes than President Clinton did in either of his elections. By the way - I still have three teeth

You're quite the ambassador for the Democrats, Skippy. I bet they're *so* proud to have an intellectual giant such as yourself on their side.
And I live in a city that has a college, amazing culture for a small city (we get big names from the coasts all the time, and our local talent kicks ***). We have one of the finest museums in the Northwest, and we're a pretty conservative town.
Here's a fun little fact for you, Skippy. My community is very dependent on volunteer fire departments. Said departments are, in turn, very dependent on the segment of the community they serve for money.
I live in an area served by a volunteer fire department. I also have the misfortune of living near a liberl/communist enclave (THEIR words for it - not mine). Guess what, Skippy? Those oh-so-magnificent liberals are tightwad SOB's when it comes to opening their *own* wallets. Ironically, our volunteer fire department - the only one in the area that serves a predominantly leftist segment of the community - is the only local volunteer fire department that is consistently and woefully underfunded. My "uneducated, hillbilly, hayseed, two teeth Republican" neighbors enjoy wonderful relationships with their fully-funded and thus fully functional volunteer fire department.
But hey - don't let facts get in your way, Skippy. Keep up the good work, in fact - morons like you are what drove me to the right.

Uh, not exactly. Colleges and universities used to be hippie-dippie havens for liberal types, but conservatism is becoming MUCH more popular in higher education.
Republicans have gained a lot of ground among "just folks" because they employ ideas like "we have good ol' fashioned values" and "we're into tradition and the American way like YOU."
Republicans who DON'T call people hillbillies, hayseeds, and uneducated tend to get support among rural voters.
It's kind of a, oh, I don't know, NOT BEING OFFENSIVE thing.
Conservatives have MUCH better PR. And liberals are NOT helped by snooty attitudes like yours. Are you kidding? Please tell me this is a bad joke. It's not really funny...but a bad joke would be better than you being serious.

Have you ever even been in the South?
NC has consistently voted democrat for both governor and General Assembly. And not to mention the NCSSM, one of the best in the world, and the first school of its kind.
Kansas is one of the Aerospace capitals in the world. Witchita especially.
Not to mention all the colleges.
Out of everywhere I've been (California, NC, Ohio, Kansas, Navada,Virginia, South Carolina), I prefer the South. It's more comfortable, and without the hustle of the north east.

It is because we Conservatives don't want to be around anybody even similar to you. It is one of the main reasons why I left the San Francisco Bay Area many years ago. I don't recognize it anymore. I actually have all me teeth and have a College Degree. Most leeches in Society are Dem Socialists. Does that make them smarter? I am at least smart enough to make a living for myself without any handouts.
