okay i saw it like 5 or 7 years ago but i remember much of the story... it is about a like couple and in there town there was like a murder and the body was found in a lake or something and it was the boyfriends ex-girlfriend that was found and he was the one who killed her and like the girlfriend at the time finds out and he plans to kill her too but when it comes dow to it he just can't do it... and yeah.. at the end its like in a courtroom and he gets convicted and stuff.... i have no idea what it is called and i was just wondering if anyone knows cause i really would like to see it again.. :) thank you soooo much!! sooo sorry if the question is hard to understand i am not too good with writing.. :) haha

There is a movie starring Fred Savage and Candace Cameron that is something like that. He ends up killing her and goes to court for it. It is called No One Would Tell..

This is a really old movie from 1951 that is still shown occasionally on late-nite TV. The plot that you describe is almost identical to the plot in A Place in the Sun? In the movie What Lies Beneath (see above), there is no courtroom scene, by the way.
