We are expecting not sure if its a boy or girl yet but I love the JORDYNN ASHLEE last name is EVANS but my hubby says its sounds to common, what do you think?

For a boy we are thinking Jaeson (jason) Nathanel (which we are pretty much set on becasue he would be named after 3 people.

Thanks!!!!

Ashlee is a must for the middle name spelling and all because she will be name after a good friend who past. So working with that name We have found it hard to match a first Name.

The spelling on Jaeson is also important because it incorporats both our fathers (Jae and Jason)

Thanks for all your coments very helpful!!!

Jordyn Ashlee Evans sounds like a really great name for a girl =]. I wouldn't say it's too common.

Jaeson Nathanel Evans is also a very good name.

Stick with those two, depending on the gender! They're very nice names =].

He's right, it doesn't just sound common ... it IS common.

Jordan is in the top 50 most popular names for boys and the top 100 for girls (and was well within the top 50 girls' for most of the past decade!). And that's not even taking into account all the misspellings, such as Jordyn, Jordynn, Jordann, etc. that are still the same exact name. Jordyn, for example, is in the top 200, so simply combing those two would make the numbers even higher than they already are. A very predictable, common choice, and far too masculine for my taste, to be quite honest. If you like it, however, I'd stick with the traditional -- and more familiar -- Jordan spelling.

Or if you want a name that's actually feminine and not as common, you might try Jordana ... the actual female version that I don't believe is even in the top 1000!

Jason is equally popular, for what it's worth. I know you're fairly set on the name, since it's in honor of someone, but just something you might want to be aware of, since it's around the top 50 as well.

Ps. Did you mean Nathaniel for the middle name there? Because if it's not a typo, you should be aware that "Nathanel" cannot be said identically. That would change the pronunciation to nay-than-EL, rather than nay-THAN-yel.

I've heard of girls named Jordynn, but have never personally known 1, and I have 2 kids in school (so have not heard the name amongst their classmates), so I don't think it's too common, I think it's pretty.

I was thinking of naming my baby Jordyn and she's a girl. I like how you spelled Jaeson, it's cute.

Learn to spell before you procreate. Jordan is a boys' name, and Jason has no 'e', half-assed tribute to family or not. Remember you child has to live with this.

I really like your choice...just to let you know it's important to think of any possible nicknames that kids could come up with in elementary school. I see you guys calling her Jordy...if she would happen to be overweight...or even just pudgy, kids are relentless and would call her "Gordy" That's the only problem I see. Really, I like the idea, though!
