My guess is if you take it, you won't be reading - either watching halftime entertainment, getting snacks, the ever-popular peeing or any number of other things. It's not like the lame Superbowl halftime shows that run too long -- it actually goes by fairly quickly in a regular season game.

I wouldn't bother with taking a book

now why would you do that?
you pay a ticket not only to watch the game, but also to be entertain so if during halftime youd rather read a book you better ask your money back

I just buy food and go to the bathroom, during halftime so why would you read a book?

Yes it's okay but given that NFL halftimes are all of twelve minutes long (the shortest in pro sports) you won't have much time to read much.

halftime is normally used for chit chat, potty breaks, and snack breaks. Bringing a book is ok but i wouldnt do it. When i went to my first game on christmas day(chiefs-raiders,i think) i brought my gameboy bag. ever since i keep going with my dad to chiefs games.

Yeah, but you'll probably be waiting in line to the bathroom or snack bar. And if you're going to a Raider game, don't do it.

Nobody pays attention during halftime. Just don't read it during the game.

Well, with any luck, most of the people there aren't going to know what a book is.
