so i kinda suck at science and i need help figuring out the control and experimental groups for this problem:
what is the effect of jogging in place for one minute on heart rate?
indepedent varible: jogging in place for one minute
dependent variable: heart rate

what are the control and experimental groups for this problem? please help me =]

control: person not running
experimental: person running

You need two people. Measure their heart rate first then have the one jog and the other stand still for one minute. Measure their heart rate again. The person standing still is your control group. The person jogging is your experimental group. Actually if you have a whole group, you would need more people and just measure all of them.
