I seen these purses at a small store yesterday. It was like they had a collage on the front and back, but it seemed to be sealed with something to protect it from the elements. Any ideas on how to do something like this?

Well aside from applying some kind of clear coat which may damage the substance of a purse; perhaps you can find purses specific to the notion of adding decoration...My thought relates to a purse that might be sleeved in clear vinyl like pouches allowing one to slip in AND remove pictures, fall leaves; a party favor; etc etc etc.

I never owned a purse but I have seen one or two in my life. Obviously this isn't GUCCI item, but a novelty, while still allowing you to enjoy the process and the showing.

There is an industrial process like laminating that takes paper and forces soft vinyl into the paper under pressure so that a flexible sheet results. Some people are using it to recycle paper packaging in a decorative way using the material to make purses.
It is softer than laminating material, but that might be used.
The collage effect is from laying out the paper attractively.
