Does any RAM work in a Laptop as well as a Desktop?
I Just got some RAM for a laptop and i'm unsure of the above

NONE. SODIMMs for laptops have different pin configurations than DIMM for desktops.

Laptops take sodimm, which is different than a desktop's requirements. Physical size being the main factor.

Unlikely that Laptop RAM will fit in a desktop.
