Shopping Walmart a few days ago with my pregnant fiance who is 9 months along and picked up a few items: cotton balls, vaseline, lotion, toothpaste, and a maternity bra. Upon checking out, I was told by the cashier she needed to see my ID because I had to be 18 or older to purchase the maternity bra, I pulled out my ID and she went ahead and rang up the items. Called Walmart the next day and questioned the store employees about this, they all said that I did not need to be 18 to purchase the bra. Now I am feeling offended and I am thinking the cashier was just being nosey and wanted to see how old my pregnant fiance and I were (we do look a little young, but not that young, we are both 23). Is there any course of action I can pursue, I am feeling VERY offended and obviously the cashier had no right to card me. I don't have the reciept nor do I remember the cashier's name. I can talk to the manager but is there any guarantee that I can get something out of it?

P.S. I paid with cash

When the cashier asked to see your id to purchase a bra you should have asked to see a manager right away.

WHO DOES THAT?!! LOL!

For cigarettes or alcohol yes, but for some dag on underwear??!! Now that's just ridiculous.

She could have been trying to see your license number.
Lot's of customers have been victims of identity theft because the cashier can easily steal info from paying customers.

ALWAYS KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

They usually have the cashier's register code on them, this is how the company can tell which cashier was operating what register at what date and time.

Just be more careful and alert when you go shopping.

Sounds strange, but it could have also been something that came up on the register accidently. I know that is usually when anyone asks for ID on something there.

Honestly I would let it go, you don't have any of the information on the cashier. You don't know for sure why it happened, you should have brought it up at the time you were there. I definatly doubt they would bother to do much more then apologise, and MAYBE and that is a big maybe some kind of discount.

You would be better off just moving on and forgetting about it. Or even better, stop shopping there and get others to stop as well.

Just my opinion though.

while you're particular approximately all of this, then it is going to bypass to the PD's inner affairs; then to the close by District lawyer; then to the state lawyer everyday and then to the FBI. this would additionally be dealt with as a civil experience in state or federal courtroom. Incrementally up the ante basically whilst each and every step gets no consequences after a sensible time and attempt has been made. you've gotten a witness interior the guy who enable him in. there is various information from that source... What tale replaced into used? How did he get the main? Did he return it? What did he say whilst returning it? She could think of demanding approximately giving keys out -- i could re-key that lock now. If this guy is this blatant, then there is greater background than you're being led to believe. people who learn this habit can chart it exceedingly wisely. you may desire to ask to talk to somebody who coordinates intercourse crime information and situations. Such habit does no longer materialize over nighttime. If it has long previous this a strategies, there could be greater alerts. you additionally can go searching the community. somebody there knows approximately this. She is unquestionably no longer the 1st and if no longer dealt with, merely isn't the final.

I agree with the first guy, get over it. You jump to conclusions but what if it were a mistake by the employee? You know trying to do something about it may cost the job of that worker. To WalMart workers are disposable. Only thing you would do is cause grief to a lower class brother/sister.

Why do you need to get something out of this? Is this a life turning event? Most people would be flattered to be carded for anything looking young. Don't be so greedy, a complaint to the manager is all at best that should be done.

Don't tie up the courts with this bs. This is a non-issue. Get over it.
If it's a huge deal to you, report it to the employees manager and insist the cashier be disciplined.

offended???? what kind of pusssie are you? this is the is the biggest problem you have? Some man you are. I think you need to concentrate on your morals about getting your "girlfriend" pregnant before you are married. and you are VERY offended?........I doubt if she cared 2 cents about your age. she was probably used to asking for i.d. Sounds to me like you need to concentrate on your future as a father and provider and stop the petty insecurities that seem to rule your life "if a cashier at walmart upsets you". you are unbelievable.....

Traumatized by an un-necessary carding.

Oh yeah, you're ready for fatherhood.

Get over yourself, you've got a family to look after.
