For those that have SEEN a ghost... what do they actually look like?

There has never been any evidence to substantiate the claim that someone has seen a ghost or any evidence of ghost-like activities, the same goes with UFOs and Santa.

Saw one where I live a few years back. Wasn't just the person but the whole set up.

I live on the coast (estuary) and was walking the dogs about 4am. Came across a floating dock, that doesn't exist, and someone loading a rowboat. Found out some months later that many years before, one Horatio Mole (I kid you not) used to operate a ferry across to Point Clear (Essex) from that very spot.

As I approached I had a really awful feeling of dread (yeah I know) but it was. Really odd thing was there was no reaction from the dogs at all. You can believe this or not, doesn't matter to me, I've seen it and religion plays no part in my life other than the occasional "Oh God" on a Sunday morning.

They look very clear from a distance and suddenly disappear when you get close..sort of like a mirage. I have seen two and on both occasions looked just like normal people not white, wispy with no legs and holes for eyes! The ghosts I have seen have on occasions been seen by other people at different times over the last 3 decades. I think seeing is believing and was sceptical until I saw them which makes even someone as sceptical as me think there must be something in the 'life after death' belief.

The first time I saw what I presumed was a ghost it resembled an opaque black figure hovering about 3 inches above the floor.I didn't see a face,merely what appeared to be a human like presence about 6 feet tall wearing a black trenchcoat.What faint light there was didn't allow me to get a great look at whatever it was.The second time was when I was driving at night and what appeared to be a legion of human shaped shadows dashed across the road in front of me.There was no moon,no trees blowing in the wind(no wind and nothing at the side of the road but flat fields.Nothing in them) and the only light was from my car.I floored it and got out of there fast!I have met people who say they have seen and even talked with benign spirits,but what I saw was bloody terrifying.

We lived in a house that had been owned by an elderly lady who once her husband had died apparently loved to make sure all the kids in the area were safe and looked after, she was a well known sight in the town and everyone spoke to her.
I learnt about all that the night after I saw her standing at the end of my bed I was about 9 years old, I could see her as clear as day looked just like a regular person, and at first I thought it was my mum stood there. But she just smiled and moved away to the side of the room away from the door and then was gone I can't say she vanished in a certain way she just went .
As I say the next day my mum was talking to the neighbours and the description they gave was off my old lady. I was afraid for awhile after that had had a nightlight, but a few months later I realised she hadn't intended any harm.

I have seen a lot and I call them spirits.
They come to me in dreams and look exactly the same way they looked when alive. Well maybe not exactly the same they look younger and all their disabilities are gone, if they were blind they are no longer
blind, and if they have lost a leg it is not missing any more. They are in a spiritual body, and it is just the same as a physical
body except it is perfect. It is very hard to tell anyone who haven't seen it themselves,
Some people have read about it and believe it is true but haven't seen it. I don't just believe it is true I know it is true because I have seen it ,and so has a lot of people on Q&A but they would have to tell you themselves.

I've seen several, but one really stood out. I was going from my living room to my kitchen in a previous house. When I passed the hallway, I saw a man go into my bedroom. Freaked me out!!!! I snuck back to my office and grabbed a sword that was behind the door. I went into the bedroom and nobody was there. He was tall with a full beard and looked as if he were wearing "mining" clothes (kind of a bib over-all and a light colored shirt). I checked into our area after that (hey...I saw poltergeist and wanted to make sure my house wasn't on an old graveyard). Many years before, there was an old coal mine about a half mile from my house. So to answer your questions....Yes, and he looked as alive to me as passing a person on the street.

when i was around 12 (now 22) we were having an extention built on the house, mum had sent me downstairs to open the door so the builders could just come in, when i got to the bottom of the stairs, even though i had been facing down the stairs the entire time, all of a sudden there was a man stood there, staring at me, looking very much like a normal alive person, first i thought, the door must have been open and builders must have got in, i turned around to look at the door and they guy had vanished and builders didnt turn up till later.

Well, most look like they have when they were alive.
The ONLY one I've seen seemed like a.. wisp of smoke. It was the color of smoke, yeah, but with more white in it. At first, I did think it was smoke, but when I came near it, it.. disapparated, or disappeared or something. It just went *Poof!* Gone. I've seen it several times, and each time it was in broad daylight.. and always in the same place: Near My Shredder.

Now I'm starting to think my shredders haunted..

The one I saw was a naked old man in the bathroom, having a wash in the sink. I ran up to the toilet after a night at work, my wife was in bed, and I heard water gurgling down the sink, I opened the bathroom door, and was startled by an old man, naked at the sink.He scowled at me, and I made an attempt to apollogise to him, and shut the door quickly. Wondering who my wife had invited to stay, I woke her up to ask her, she told me I was crazy, so I got her up and took her to the bathroom. I knocked on the door, no answer, so I opened the door, to find no one there, and the sink bone dry. We have both seen him since but wearing clothes. He looks completely human, and normal.

You limit to "SEEN" when most intercourse with a Ghost is by a cold draft, a brushing touch, or a whisper next to an ear. Occasionally there will be the movement of a inert object.
