Bumps in the Aerola Normal
It is quite normal to have small bumps in the areola. These bumps are oil-producing glands that secrete a lubricant to make breast feeding easier. During pregnancy, the areolae darken and remain at least somewhat darker after pregnancy.

They are oil glands. When a mother nurses her child a natural oil is sucreeted from there and helps to keep the areola clean.

They are called montgomery glands. Not all of their function is understood, however we do know that they lubricate the nipple/areola during nursing.
