I usually shop for button down shirts at jcrew, but im not sure if I should/can really where them untucked with jeans. The reason I say this is becase they have that white piece at the hem between the front and back tail. know what i mean? where else can I find good casual shirts to wear out with jeans? Also, roll up the sleeves or wear them down?

If you're in a professional setting then tucked in, rolled up, but otherwise it's your call.

i buy lots of their button downs and all the shop people and the mannequins always are untucked with the sleeves rolled up. I always wear mine untucked with the sleeves rolled up, or at least the cuff flipped up once.

i think you can wear them either way tucked, not tucked, sleeves up or down.
