The thing under the bed. I used to think there were skeletons, so I would literally jump 5 feet away from my bed, then onto my bed so they wouldn't grab my ankles if I was standing in front of the bed. That and I would always hear voices (still do)...dam* hypomania...Although they didn't scare me.
And I'm still afraid of spiders.
I love Stephen King! I watched his movies all the time when I was little...they didn't scare me =p lol (I'm just teasing)

Boris Karloff (Frankenstien's monster). When I was young, I was allowed to stay up late on a Friday night to watch T.V. with my family. Hammer films were all the rage and I got scared oot ma wee jammies when I laid eyes on Boris! Even though he lurched along at a snail's pace, he always managed tae get the wee innocent wifie!! I still get the shivers if his face comes on the telly. I cannot watch anything that he is in(I'm now forty four)!!!

I was terrified of the dark and thunder storms. I still am a bit scared of the dark, cause I leave this lampy thingy on the dresser on at night. And aliens and ghosts. I once saw Mars Attack and some movie about a haunted house, and was terrified for years.

There was a story on the news about a man who killed and impaled two children on spiked railings. I must have been about 6 at the time.
I had nightmares for weeks about that, I had no idea that people did such things.
Just recently I heard he was up for parole, and it all came flooding back.
Nasty. And I'm in my 40's now !

The thing under my bed AND the dark. Because if it wasn't dark, I wouldn't be afraid of the thing under my bed and if I wasn't in bed but it was dark, I'd still be scared of the dark itself.
And another thing, I was always afraid of toilets, I'd always think there was something that would grab me from the hole in the toilet and suck me in. I was a weird kid.

I did not like driving (with my parents) down a dark country road!!! I hated it.
One particular scary movie I watched when i was like 7, was where a severed hand was crawling on the side of a road at night !!! Eeeeek! So, when we were on a dark road out in the country, I was so scared!
