EDIT: Heroes by David Bowie; because the "heroes" of the song face death to be together.
or...
The entire album Berlin by Lou Reed. It's like a rock opera. It's about a man who is crazy in love with his drug-addicted, cheating wife, who sleeps with his best friend, and eventually commits suicide after her children were taken away. It doesn't sound romantic, but you have to hear how it's sung.

I like Unchained Melody and I have it as an Instrumental which is even better. It is how you feel when sitting in the dark and warm and what music turns you from just feeling to feeling good.

God Only Knows by the Beach Boys.
I think it's a lovely tune and when I was in love I felt I connected with the lyrics.

"Seasons in the Sun" by Bobby Goldsboro (maybe wrong spelling). It was on the go when I was a wee girlie, turning into a wee wifie and made me feel all weird inside!!!
