whipass: no her baby wasn't taken off her but it makes you wonder what sort of mother she is and how unfortunate that child was to be born into that. its very sad and my heart goes out to the kids. it really does.

Thankfully no. My Mother when aged 85 had her keys stolen by an opportunist. The next morning they opened the door knocked my mother over, dragged her upstairs (sshe was not ssure if there were two or three) threatened to kill her if she did not shut up stole some jewelry of sentimental value and I do not lnow what else.
The robber got 6 years (out in 4) My mother got seven because she never went out again until she died aged 93 The man they caught was in his 30's

Lets see, My personal car has been broken into, while parked by my house, 3 times with my court records and work equipment stolen or messed up, my kitchen window was broken (turned out to be bored kids from a local religious school on their way to deliver food to the needy around the holidays), two of my van tires were slashed (the bad guy got about 25 vehicles, vans and suv's only, in the area), I've had my police hat stolen from a marked car as I ran into a burning apartment building to help evacuate it, my $100 police flashlight was taken from an unmarked car as I was foot chasing a guy with a gun, my wallet was taken from a secure locker at a gym, I've been shot at least 10 times (never hit) and I cannot count the number of times I have been the victim of a battery.
So ya, I've been a victim of a crime(s).
In my case I did not suffer a loss of trust in the world. I can see how, in your case while tending to a newborn in trouble, that that could be a problem.
Being a victim of a crime can change your world view. You just have to realize that the world is still a good place but you have to be careful to.

That sucks. I'm sorry about the loss, and during such a stressful time already. That will come back to that wicked mother, just trust that.

anyway- I got over 300 stitches from my son's father after he stabbed me with a glass bottle (which he broke over my head). I've also had my purse stolen, been robbed of $450.00, and my parents have tried to take my son from me as well. Among a bazillion other things that have been stolen from me. Don't fee alone in it!

Honestly, I did a lot of stealing as a kid and I think that's why it came back on me so hard.

not that you deserve what happened, but sometimes we do things that unknowingly hurt others, and then it comes back to us.

good luck with everything.

I once was woken at 6am by a knock at the door and when i come down looked through glass door it was silloete of policeman but still asked for his identification as was on my own with three girls in bed.
He said he thought someone had tried to break into my living room so he went in first and window was open, slide up against door but did not get in as my dashound dog had scared him off. They had done 11 in our road from 3am to 5 am I was lucky but it did shake me up a lot.

Yes I have been the victim of a crime, but not a violent one. Someone stole a backpack right off the back of my wheelchair while I was boarding a bus.

Yes and the trauma stays with you a very long time, but the culprits get a slap on the wrist.

Every body is a victim of crime.

Your car insurance premium is higher than it should be because of insurance fraud.

Your shopping cost more because they have to recover the amount lost to shoplifting.

You pay for crime every day!

Very premeditated, but i am a big believer in ' what goes round, comes round', so she would get her pay back time. I was once burgled, and for weeks looked at everybody in the street with suspicion
