Clearly, you don't hang around Yahoo Answers very much.

Half the questions I answer are solved with a 15 second Google or Wikipedia search. I use Wikipedia so much I had to enter the word into my word processor's dictionary.

A good 50% of the points I have earned have come from answering simple and seemingly stupid questions from "How do you have sex?" (Yes, she was a serious adult asking that question) to "When did Sam Houston defeat Santa Anna?" That took only a few minutes on the Internet.

The purpose of this board is to answer questions; hence the name. And when I give an answer I try to give the best answer. I have the motto, "The only stupid question is the one that is never asked." No, I didn't think that one up I got it from Basic Training in the US Army. There they have to take people who may not even know the fundamentals of basic hygiene and teach them how to be soldiers.

I saw one question "How do I turn off my I-phone?" And yes I wanted to say pull the batteries out or throw it against the wall five times while saying, "I am stupid, I am stupid." But, I resisted the temptation.

Everyone has a field that they don't know much about; personally once I get under the hood of a car I get totally lost. I can talk about black holes, quantum theory, give relationship advice, and suggestions on child care. I have replaced a clutch plate in a standard transmission so I am not totally ignorant, but I had a lot of skilled help and I only know the theory of how a car works not the actual belts, hoses and where the stupid voltage regulator is.

If I had a question on a car I would be tempted to come here first, looking for the easy answer. After all if you select a best answer it only costs two points (but few people realize that and pay all 5 points).

Then again I could say that asking this question, and wasting 5 points on it is not that bright either. Something that maybe a moron... no, I don't want to insult you and call you a moron, I have been fined 10 points once for that so I try not to call people fools. I just try to give them a good and honest answer. What I really hate are those creeps who lie, or those ___ (use the cuss word or your choice) people who give a cheap short answer just to get the two points. Those are the ones I want to rant and rave at. But, then I assume this is just your form of a rant as well. Another pet peeve of mine is those people who don’t spell check or try to use text message speak and create questions that can’t be deciphered. I reported one guy for using the wrong language because his spelling was so bad it couldn’t have been called English.

I tried giving you the best answer I could. People of all sorts come here and there are no end to the weird questions that get posted here. The best you can do is answer the easy ones, laugh at the stupid ones, and just move on to something else.

I believe your factor, however to a point inane is within the eye of the beholder, so it is all an issue of standpoint. It's form of like small speak- is speakme (in character) approximately the elements rather that stimulating? Unless there is a typhoon brewing or a snow fall looming, no, however men and women speak approximately the elements always. Just whatever to do, for essentially the most facet. So sure, this web page is a recreation for lots of men and women, accurately, with the most important stuff. I would not believe my wellbeing to strangers or the web in any occasion.

Great! I'm sure glad we asked you a question! Now we are all afraid to ask any more, for fear of being put down, I guess the world is just going to have to remain stupid? And the simplest questions? Remember how fearful of sixth grade we were? We were just dumb little fourth graders and couldn't even spell simplest.
I remember a few teachers like you, but can't remember one single name attached to them. Why? They aren't important! But the names I remember? The best teachers who encouraged my "stupid" questions and didn't put me down for
asking.
Anyone can have a bad day; I have had my share, as my students would attest.
So, today you get a free ride. Good luck
may the gods of good hair go with you

You're the stupid one. Learn how to spell before trying to insult others.

He who asks a question is a fool for a minute; he who does not remains a fool forever.

Besides, why does it bother you so much that people want to learn?
