They're both very good, influencial and legendary bands but which band do you like better? The Beatles are my favorite band ever so I pick them but Led Zep is great too.

The Beatles is the best band in the whole d@mn world! And John is the greatest rock star of all times.

Must be Zeppelin. The Beatles were good in their own right but LZ did so many more genres. Reggae (D'yer Mak'er), Pop (All My Love, Ozone Baby), Middle Eastern (Kashmir), Southern Blues ( In My Time of Dying, Travelling Riverside Blues), Rockabilly (Hot Dog), Progressive rock (Carouselambra), Punk (Communication Breakdown), Synth Rock (In The Evening), Samba (Fool in the Rain), Metal (The Rover, Trampled Underfoot), Folk (most of Led Zeppelin 3 for example), Country (Down by the Seaside), Funk (The Crunge), songs that can never be touched or duplicated (Stairway to Heaven, Achilles Last Stand, No Quarter) and experimental music that actually made sense (In the Light.)
Plus, page could take on any Beatle in guitar prowess. From hard to soft. Bonham was the superior drummer by default. He could entertain an audience alone for up to 30 minutes. Modern drumming reflects him as well. John Paul Jones was the best of both bands. He's got piano, guitar, cello, bass, mandolin and more down in his repretoíre (sp). Plant is a whole other issue. I'd probably take the Beatle's side as far as vocals but Plant was good for the LZ fit so it's hard to say.
Either way, Led Zeppelin was magical in studio and magical live. The marks of great artists are there. That's what I think.

Led Zeppelin never made a bad song. But the Beatles made Revolution #9 and Octopus's Garden, plus a few other crappy songs. So, I would have to choose Led Zeppelin as the better band.

I think that the better band would be The Beatles, but I like Led Zeppelin better, if that makes sense.

Beatles all the way !!! I never tire of their music & go to see Beatles tribute bands all the time (like Beatle Juice which had the late & great Brad Delp - http://www.muzzdrums.com ).
I enjoy Led Zep a lot but must have overplayed them in the hazy 70's because I still can't listen to certain songs, without looking around for a bong - lol.

you know, i gotta say the Beatles. zep's up there, but the Beatles got up there first. sgt. peppers and abbey road pretty much summed up their history. sure, zeppelin had a bunch of hit songs and made a lot of money. but they were just another band. the beatles weren't just another band. they were the band.

depends on my mood.
If I want good summer driving with the top down music I pick Zep but if I'm just hangin out cleanin the house I'll but on Beatles
