Why do men call cars, baots and other means of transport SHE......?
EG Look at the new cooper isn't she great....
Not worried just curious to hear your reasons or thoughts

Because like women you have to take care of them and buy them things to get them to do what you want.

The tradition has changed and you now can and probably could have way back when Noah was a boy have if game enough called said boat,car,truck by a boys name.It just had to do with superstitions of the time in history.I try hard not to drive on certain days of the year because statistics and my own observations prove too many idiots on the roads.

Actually I'm not sure this is sexism. It probably comes from languages that have gender for inanimate objects, and the fact that most modes of transportation have historically been referred to as female, especially ships.
