Just bought an older camper that is really nice on the inside but the outside is stained black. Thank you in advance!

Use a mixture of bleach and water. If it's really black spray bleach directly on it and let it sit awhile. Then wash it with plain water. Good luck. 2D

We had a similar problem with a boat that we bought. Go to Wal-Mart and look in the automotive section for cleaner in a purple bottle. They sell it by the gallon and it worked wonders. I have recommended to some friends that bought a camper that had rust stains on the outside and they loved it. I havent used it since last summer and havent had to buy it again but I swear by it! It works on marine, cars, leather, vinyl, fiberglass everything. Its powerful but not harmful. But wear gloves it will dry your hands out. Good Luck

Be careful using a pressure washer on a travel trailer.
There are places on the TT that you don't want water going in.
Don't spray the outside of the hot-water heater or the refrigerator or the furnace vent or the stove vent. Windows and doors can leak under the onslaught of a pressure washer.

I agree with the folks who said try simple green or the purple
version and possibly the chlorine bleach. If you use bleach wear rubber gloves and OLD clothes!!!!!

Any type of deck or siding cleaner that you can use on your house could be used on your camper. You could also try WD-40 if it has a fiberglass shell. It works fairly quickly and leaves it looking great. I don't even know why it works, but I know it does.

A pressure washer is definitely the way to go. They are great for alot of other jobs around the house like cleaning vinyl side, concrete walkways and porches, brick foundations, cars etc. You might want to look at purchasing one instead of renting.

My husband used 'Simple Green' on the black streaks on our camper. He just sprayed it on and used a soft, long handled brush. Then rinsed it off. He loved it.

Rent a power washer.
Mix 1 gal bleach to 3 gal water.
Spray, let stand 3-4 mins. Wash with clear water.
Repeat as necessary.
