OMG, I finally found a product that really, really works to actually get rid of the fish odor in fridge and bad smelling ice in freezer. I've tried baking soda, lemons, and just about everything else. You've got to try this - FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It's a little purple cube odor absorber and IT REALLY WORKS.
Does anyone know if I can use for other areas too. Got a litter box that I'm thinking of trying it with?

I've done some more research with the company. Yes, it is perfectly safe so I will clip a couple on my litter box. The company also said they have a product called pet odor eliminator made just for this but can use the Fridge it product too. Someone asked where I buy. I last got at Linens and things but just ordered a dozen direct with the company. Really easy. Thanks for all replies. Anyone else have the same great experience with this product. Fabulous!

Yeah, it's Naturally Activated Charcoal which absorbs the odors. They work so well and last up tp 6 months. I know they can be used for other things, but I don't remember seeing anything about litter boxes, (safety of pet).

This product is really fantastic, I agree. Been using it for years in fridge, diaper pails and yes, litter box. I've tried other "carbon" products but haven't found one that works as well as this Fridge-IT product so I always look for the purple cube. Sometimes hard to find, so I also buy direct from company too at www.innofresh.com Just call them and they email and order form and very quick too.

try calling the 800 number on the package, especiall if you are planning to use it in the litter box, you may cause some cancer related problem for the little critters.

Never heard of it. Where did you get it? To answer your question, it should say on the box if it is harmful to humans or animals. I'd love to try it...
