in order to become an actor you must act. i'm not kidding. i've been acting for 15 years now (since i was 3) and all you have to do is get noticed. it's hard. and the chances of you becoming noticed by a fabulous theatre company these days are very slim. getting an agent is important but only if you have the money. audition. audition. audition. be very original and have faith in yourself. try looking up an acting coach.dance is important to. go that extra mile and get a voice teacher as well. (directors love an actor that can sing.) go see plays and watch old movies. (old movies are where the best acting can be found) last but not least, don't trust anyone. do your research. there are tons of people looking for aspiring actors to scam and get rich off of. good luck

No one can tell you how to act. No one can teach you how to act. People can teach you tecniques on being a better actor/actress but you can not learn to act. You can improve though. What you are doing is great, keep it up and get noticed. Don't be embaressed because you were the only one to raise your hand. Thats how you get noticed. Loud, energetic, and confident! Keep doing plays and you will be on your way!

ah, the blind lead the barely seeing. You are on the right track. You could use a mentor to keep you from getting swindled or from falling into some gruelling experience you needn't have to be an actor. I mentor aspiring actors for free. Read my profile and write me at my aol address for more info
